Q is for Quest.

I'm on a quest for our time in Kaiserslautern, to visit as many towns/cities and castles in this area as possible. Kaiserslautern is an average sort of city. It has everything you expect in a city but it doesn't have a castle... That might not mean much, but it's something we expected to see living in the southern part of the country.

I had set a goal to visit many places that are accessible with Pablo's work ticket. A bucket list of cities and castles near our home, but then Pablo mentioned he didn't want to visit random little towns since we already live in one. This made me kind of sad, because while there are plenty of castles, most of the places I jotted are just towns, no big Schwerin-like castles to show.

My VRN (WabenPlan 133) Bucket List.

Altdahn Castle
Bad Mergentheim is a town in the district Main-Tauber-Kreis district in the German state of Baden-Württemberg.
Castle Berwartstein (the stairs, passages and rooms are carved out of the rock to form part of the accommodation for defense)
Creglingen  it is less than an hour bus ride to Rothenburg ob der Tauber, so if we go to one we go to the other (but would probably have to spend the night somewhere since the total trip would take approx 6 hours).
Eberbach (the sister city is Ephrata, United States)
Germersheim
Heidelberg
Hohenecken Castle
Landau
Lauterbourg
Mannheim
Schifferstadt is the only urban municipality in the Rhein-Pfalz-Kreis.
Stolzenfels Castle

Strasbourg, France
Trier
Weikersheim is the location of the famous castle Schloss Weikersheim.
Weinheim
Wissembourg, France
Wörth

I still kept some of the plain Jane towns on the list, just in case. We have six more weekends left in K-town, and a couple of those are extended weekends, so we should get a lot done. for now, I've convinced Pablo we should go to France, we didn't yesterday because I had said Wissembourg, and it is one of those castle less ones) but Strasbourg looks like a better option and it's something we have scheduled for this weekend.
